HAMILTON CONTE PARIS

The September presentation at Maison & Objet Paris continues the 2015 line of the high end furniture and home accessories brand Hamilton Conte Paris with several extension products and a completely new fabric range. The idea of relaxed luxury is reinforced by this new range with an exciting array of solid and print fabrics in velvets, chenilles, satins, contract grade fabrics, and a wide variety of weaves. Brass and brass effect products play an important role in the range. Hamilton Conte Paris has brought in some subtle colours but are predominately focused on elegant neutrals. There is a complete new collection of artworks by Fabian Pellegrinet Conte in both large and small formats that really add visual interest and depth to the stand.

Among the brand new designs presented for the first time at Maison & Objet Paris are the Blas and the Costanza armchairs. Blas is a comfortable contemporary chair with a metal structure and separate cushions. The rotating base of this vintage style item is available in stainless steel with “brass effect”. The Costanza armchair is an extension product of Hamilton Conte’s contemporary upholstered dining chair that was launched in January. It has a solid beech structure and 30kgs seating foam.

Another outstanding new piece that was shown at the fair is the Talos cocktail table. It comes with a cast aluminium table base with an organic finish slightly varnished and is available in oak, walnut or imbuia. In addition the stunning Théa bar table with a diamond-veneered top and turned base in solid wood will be exhibited alongside the Luxury Bar table which has also a diamond-veneered oak top and an enameled iron or “brass effect” stainless steel base. Other pieces to be highlighted are the Rafaela dining table with a diamond-veneered oak top and sculpted solid wood base and Apollon, a gilded, hammered resin mirror.

Once again Hamilton Conte Paris draws inspiration for this new line from the diverse backgrounds and complementary talents of its two founders – Ross Hamilton Englisbe and Fabián Pellegrinet Conte. Combining pragmatism and passionate creativity, both designers approach their craft with originality and warmth. Devoted to artisanal production and attention to detail, their artistic creations take inspiration from a variety of styles and cultures. They like to merge design movements from the 1950s and 1970s, the Americas and Scandinavia, and add a touch of Parisian flair. Each piece in the collection tells a story, and through their ensemble, their designs aim to create a universe that is distinct to the brand.

Hamilton Conte Paris’ designs are the fruit of an alliance between designers and artisans, all of whom are passionate about their craft. “For me, luxury is about being able to work with craftsmen, taking the time to care about details as well as pleasure in doing so” says Fabián Pellegrinet Conte. Their creations offer all elements of an interior space: furniture, seating, lighting, and objets d’art.www.hamiltonconte.com
